I haven't been in school for over a decade but as an alumni one of my old schools gave me a .edu email address. I wonder if that would work.
I signed up for Amazon Prime Student. It was nice while it lasted and Amazon was kind enough to offer a discounted membership renewal. I've also used Office 365 through my school, which included free download of the MS Office suite. On the Hub was great because it allowed me to set up a virtual environment for me to practice on without the need for purchasing licenses. Signing up at ID.me can open up some student discounts, but I used it as a way to provide proof of my student status or being a military veteran for certain websites. Best Buy also offers discounts to students (from Best Buy's website, click DEALS > Student Hub).
